I work in a salon and I still don't understand how something like this could happen. What did you tell her you wanted, Jana? And when she kept cutting, did you try to stop her? I only trust my hair to a professional and have always had fantastic results. They're schooled and licensed, guys; not just random people off the street.

My hair was long... really long to the top of my butt length. I had no idea how short it was (its still past my shoulders) until she was completely finished and pulled the hair in front of my shoulders so I could see it. Most of what she did was out of my view and when I could see her cutting it, it was pulled out and I couldn't judge how short it was. I felt REALLY comfortable with her because from the very start she said she was growing out her own hair and that she really liked my hair...

Yikes! I'm trying to grow out my hair again (I always end up cutting it off.) I cut and dye my own hair. My friend went to have her hair professionally done after I dyed it (she handed me the box, I just made sure it covered all of her hair haha) and her hair came out this shade of red she hated... so off to the salon she went. Four hours later and hell knows how much money, her highlights are orange, she had an allergic reaction to the coloring, and now her hair is faded days later....
